You are going to laugh or think I'm crazy when I give you this tip to keep your blonde highlight golden and not green after swimming in chlorinated pools. Apply a few squirts of ketchup to your hair and comb in. Let it sit for about 20 minutes. Then rinse and shampoo as usual. The ketchup's citric acid will neutralize the copper-oxide deposits from the chlorine in the pool water (this is what causes blonde highlights to turn greenish). This wil save you a trip to the salon or at the least, a bottle of expensive color-restoring shampoo!
