Apple has announced its new Apple iPad Air 2. It's thinner than the previous model (6.1mm versus 7.5mm) and features a new A8X chip with M8 motion coprocessor, improved Retina Display and cameras, 802.11ac WiFi, Touch ID fingerprint sensor, and 10-hour battery life. The 16GB WiFi model will cost $499, while 64GB and 128GB models will sell for $599 and $699, respectively; LTE versions will be $130 more. These models will go on sale on October 17 and ship next week.
