I got an e-mail from Amazon the other day, announcing their new service.
When you sign into the updated Cloud Player, we'll upgrade your music to high-quality 256 Kbps audio at noadditional charge.We've also made it easier to get your music from your computer to Cloud Player. We'll match your songs toAmazon 's 20 million song catalog. All songs we match - even music purchased from iTunes or ripped from CDs -are instantly made available in Cloud Player.
[UL]Open Amazon Cloud Player and click on "Import your music."
[UL]You'll be prompted to install their program, the Amazon Music Importer.
[UL]Let it examine your music collection.
[UL]When it starts to tell you the estimated time to completion, that appears to mean it's starting to upload your old music files. I just closed it at that
[UL]Certain songs will become available for you to download at the same quality as if you just bought them from the Amazon MP3 Store.
