My CVS Deals this week

So it's been a long time since I did the whole CVS extra care bucks thing. That was pretty obvious when I didn't get any quarterly rewards on July 1st! I had read a few blog posts that the Nivea tins priced at $0.99 were producing $2 in extra care bucks (limit 4). I'm not sure if this has been fixed yet or not but I went on Sunday so check it out. I also needed to pick up some soda and 79 cents for a 2 liter is pretty good.
I scanned my card and got a CRT for $15 off $15 Physicians Formula face purchase. Since I wasn't too familiar with Physicians Formula I asked an associate and she told me the cosmetics would count towards the coupon. The cosmetics just happened to be on sale this week, $7 off any cosmetic $7 and over. After going back and forth a few times I had all the items for my coupon, two Nivea tins, 2 Diet Coke 2 liters and a pack of overnight diapers (clearance price of $2.99). The whole deal was about $7.50; a little more that I had hoped but I needed the diapers and coke so it worked for me.
The Physicians formula deal worked great and I got $4 in extra care bucks for my Nivea! Needless to say saving money always makes me happy so I went home and was checking on some more deals. After the kids went to bed I headed out to one more CVS. I was searching for the Schick Hydo Power Select. I had a CRT for $5 off and found a newspaper coupon for $4 off making my oop $0.49 with $3 in extra care bucks. I picked up two more Nivea tins and a few other items so I could use the extra care bucks I had earned earlier in the day.
This deal was much better, I paid $1.77 oop and got $7 in extra bucks back! I'm pretty excited about getting back in the CVS deals and hope I can continue getting more and more extra care bucks with little out of pocket expense to me.
