I randomly came across a promotion that Verizon is doing via their "Share the Network" program (basically their referral program) if you refer somenoe via MOBILE DEVICE. (I went to log-in to my account and saw a little advertisement on the log-in page. Ironically, once logged in, the ad is gone and I had to log back out to see the details ...).

Basically if you go to http://www.sharethenetwork.com and signup for an account, then go to the site ON YOUR MOBILE PHONE and send a referral out (I posted to Facebook), you'll get a $5 Starbucks Gift Card sent to you via email (at your registered email address). (I am sure you can register via the phone too, but I figured it was easier to sign up for a referral account on my PC first).

I did this yesterday and it said you had to refer three people, but all I did was select to share via Facebook and posted the message to my wall. They "verified my eligibility" and I received a $5 Gift Card emailed to me today (already added it to my existing card in my Starbucks account). No one needs to follow the post and actually sign up - you get credit just for sharing the word.

This promotion ends tomorrow (May 23)!

Hope maybe someone else can get in on the deal. I don't know if you have to be a Verizon customer or not ... but I know it didn't ask for any account information when I registered, so I am thinking not.
