About a mile from Reedy Creek Nature Center, deep in the woods of the nature preserve, stands the ruins of the Robinson Rock House, built around 1800. On Saturday, January 14th, at 1pm, hike to the house and learn about the stories of the people who lived there. The guided hike is free. Register by calling 704-432-6460 or by using this link.
This seems like a nice walk. The chimney and some of the walls are still standing. Never been before but looks like fun. There is also a huge old fallen tree nearby that kids love to climb on. You can see pictures of the Robinson Rock House and the tree here.
