Bargainist Gift Guide: Play Doh Fans
It’s amazing that a product that got its start as wallpaper cleaner in the 1930s has managed to work its way into millions of hearts and homes. Of course we’re talking about Play-Doh, a blobby mixture of flour, water, salt, boric acid and silicone oil. According to author Tim Walsh, more than a billion cans of Play-Doh were sold in 75 countries between 1955 and 2005. September 18 is National Play-Doh Day—a holiday for all ages to celebrate this icon of childhood.
