Looking to maximize those back to school shopping dollars? Then be sure to shop during your state's tax free holiday. Just in case you're not familiar with tax free holidays, they're those special times of the year (usually around the back to school season) when shoppers can make purchases that are totally exempt from being charged the state's required tax percentage. Many stores take advantage of this by throwing huge sales that coincide with this holiday to give shoppers the ultimate in savings. Here's a copy of the 2011 State Tax Free Holiday calendar, look for your state's dates and be sure to take advantage. After all, it's not often that our government gives us a break.
