A PCMag Editors' Choice, the Dell XPS 8300 Desktop PC is now available starting at $699.99 at Dell.com. It features a fancy angled chassis and stylish black and white design with a black bezel. But enough about the body, let's get back to that $699.99 price. The desktop is normally $1,262.99, so you're saving 45 percent here thanks to some handy coupon codes.
LogicBuy recommends configuring it with a Core i7-2600 Quad-core Sandy Bridge processor, 8GB of RAM, a 1TB hard drive, a Dell Laser Mouse, 1GB GeForce GT530, and a two-year service plan. Available upgrades include up to 16GB DDR3 memory, ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 discrete graphics, Blu-ray drive and more. This configuration is the most basic and will cost you $699.99 with free shipping.
PCMag liked its high-end 3D graphics, as well as its HDMI DisplayPort. It also comes without any bloatware pre-installed, which is a nice plus. Desktop analyst Joel Santo Domingo said it wins the battle as the best mainstream multimedia desktop. He said it's a great computer for those who want to do more with their photo or video hobby.
