It's here!!! This is my top pick for Christmas gifts this year. Beth is a wonderful person to work with and the books she wrote are amazing.The Quilt Ladies is a series (of 12) of fictional books that follow a group of women who start a quilting club. The books follow their adventures and are great wholesome fun. Each book includes a quilt pattern that matches the theme of the book.
I highly recommend these books as a Christmas gift! They are unique and fun. If you are a reader you will love them; if you are a quilter you will love them even more. The books are $12.95 each, or you can get discounts for buying sets, and cannot be found in stores. You can buy them online at Beth's store, The Quilt Ladies Shop . She has also started selling eBooks of quilt patterns that start at $7.99.
You can win three of these wonderful books for yourself or a loved one! The three books I want to tell you about this week are #7, #8, and #9.
Book seven, Love at Any Age, contains the pattern for the Churn-Dash Baby Quilt and the Log Cabin PinWheel. Book eight, The Wedding (which Beth said was her favorite book to write), contains the pattern for a beautiful wedding quilt. Book nine, Garden Under the Stars, contains the pattern for one of my favorite quilts, a "garden" of stars and appliques.
Remember, you do not need to be able to quilt to enjoy these books (I wish I could say I was a quilter)! Of course I won't go so far as to say you won't run right out and search for your nearest class once you read these wonderful books and take a look at the beautiful patterns. If you ever wanted to quilt these books will definitely set you back on that path.
