( This is the same deal as was posted here for Lowe's back in May: 4999 https://L51f1fd13c37663e3e49c7cf71f6c326d)

I've been looking for a cordless drill set to replace my old Hitachi 14.4v drill and impact driver and found what appears to be a good price on an 18v kit at
Amazon .

https://www.amazon.com/Hitachi-KC18DGL-Lithium-Driver-Impact/dp/...

Here is a detailed description of the contents of the kit:

[l=http://www.hitachipowertools.com/docs/default-source/tool_cards/...]http://www.hitachipowertools.com/docs/default-source/tool_cards/ic133_tool_cards_2015_kc18dgl.pdf?sfvrsn=2"]http://www.hitachipowertools.com/docs/default-source/tool_cards/ic133_tool_cards_2015_kc18dgl.pdf?sfvrsn=2[/l]

The kit is priced at $129 and includes the DS18DGL drill, WH18DGL impact driver, a 2.5 amp-hr battery, a 1.5 amp-hr battery, a charger, and a bag. If you buy it make sure you select
Amazon as the vendor, verify the $129 price and Prime shipping.

When I ordered
Amazon showed that it would probably ship in 1 to 2 months, which was OK with me, but I received email shortly after ordering stating that itwill arrive in a few days.

Hitachi power tools have "Lifetime" warranty on the tools and a 2 year warranty on the batteries.

With most of cordless tools from all manufacturers, it seems that one actually is paying for the batteries and getting the tools as well, so I don't place alot of stock in the "Lifetime" warranty part. If the batteries fail after 2 years it's usually more cost effective to replace the whole kit rather than the batteries themselves. Having said that, my 14.4v kit lasted about 8 years, is still running perfectly, but the NiCd batteries are on their last legs, hence my purchase of this new kit.
