TurboTax Deluxe +State AND Quicken Deluxe lt;$10 after Price Match+EasyRebate at Staples - BIG YMMV

This is a very big YMMV.

Staples will match Amazon 's current price for TurboTax Deluxe + State of $39.85, and their price for Quicken Deluxe of $29.85. Technically, they should be doing a 110% price match.

As you may know, when buy both these products at Amazon in a bundle ,they come to $69.70. But, there is a $20 bundle discount applied when you checkout, making the net cost $49.70 for both.

Staples currently has$40 easy rebate from Intuit when you buy both. So theoretically, if you can get Staples to match the $49.70 price and get $40 back in a Visa card, your net price for both products is less than $10.

The trick is finding someone at Staples to do it. Staples .com today refused because one of the software products was out of stock at Amazon until tomorrow. The Staples store near me refused because they said Staples does not match bundles. (There is nothing on their website that excludes bundles, but the manager produced a document of unknown origin that indicated they won't match bundle prices.)

The second Staples I visited did the price match of the individual items (actually 110% on Quicken) without problem, and then when I showed the manager the extra $20 off, he adjusted their $49.99 price of TT Deluxe down to $19.99. (I wasn't going to quibble over the 110%).

So my total came to $45.33 before $40 rebate. (See slip .)

Again this deal is VERY YMMV, depending on your luck in finding a Staples person willing to do the price match.However, even if you just get the 110% price match on TT and Quicken and don't get the extra $20 off, you are still getting both products for less than $30.
