Unlocking instructions,
1. Go tohttps://www.att.com/deviceunlock/?#/ , check and confirm at bottom of the page.
2. On next page at Customer Type , tick the "Non-AT&T Mobility customer
" selection , fill in yourIMEI, a first/last name , and a email address. ( note: John Smith works fine. I'm sure he has requested a lot of Unlock Codes)
3. Check your email for request confirmation and then wait. In another day or so you might get an initial email saying they are "investigating blah blah blah...".
Wait another day or so and you should receive your Unlock Code or Denied.
4. Unlock Code in hand, boot your phone (no sim installed) , click on Phone icon and click past the "no sim" error message, click on Dialer icon , type in##7820#
5. Enter your Unlock Code and hit enter. Wait about a minute or so and you should be presented with Unlocked screen.
6. Reboot phone and get back to the Dialer and enter ##7820# to verify Unlocked status.
GSM Worldwide:Yes, this phone will work on supported GSM bands in other countries AFTER you unlock it from AT&T.
I've tested it in Singapore's telco - user TGS
