Driving through a McDonalds in Downer's Grove Illinois last night, I saw a sign that stated an addedbenefit with the purchase of a $100 McDonalds gift card. I purchased the required gift card and received an additional card providing a free Big Mac or EggMcMuffin each month in 2016 "at participating McDonalds". This is quite YMMV since there does not appear (yet!) to be a list of the participating McDonalds. The promotional sign did mention that the promotion began on Black Friday and that the store only had 100 of the bonus cards. The sign (even though posted at the drive through) also stated that this was available inside only.

If your local McDonalds is participating, this is quite a bonus based on the price 12 Egg McMuffins or Big Macs.

I first read about this promotion around Black Friday (but can't seem to find a posting on FW). My local McDonalds don't participate but I'll be near the one in Downer's Grove often enough to use the bonus card. This appears to be available at Chicagoland McDonalds. Initially I only heard of it being available in the Des Moines Iowa area so maybe there are additional areas offering the deal.

The bonus card is not connected to the original $100 gift card so you could re-gift or sell if you wanted to.
