This car charger is capable of putting out a full 2.4A on all four ports simultaneously. Great for families that have multiple iPhones or iPads that need charging at the same time. Additionally, with its Intelligent Identification Technology (called PowerIQ on Anker and other names for other suppliers) it automatically selects the proper amperage for your device, be that 0.5A, 0.75A, 1A, 1.5A, 2.0A, 2.1A or 2.4A. It has the circuitry to enable these currents with all of the devices from Apple, Samsung , HTC, LG etc. Many chargers will focus on one or the other (usually Apple) and if you don't have that device you are left with a much slower 0.5A or 1A charging speed.

The build quality is VERY solid, with a very nice dense feeling in the hand. It plugs tightly into the port and is actually quite small. My car doesn't have a lot of room between the port and pull-out cup-holder next to it and the charger fit just fine. One of my favorite things is that the power LED is very subdued, so it isn't blinding during night driving. I am very pleased with the build quality and this will likely be the last charger that I purchase for a while.
