This looks interesting. I do some tinkering with Arduino and Android Roms. Cyanogen,RaspberryPi etc. Like some of the new Intel PC on a stic, that can run both Android and Windows. And fit in your pocket.

This seems to have all the specs for some customization. I may set up plex server and attach it to my LCD TC.
