But although this is technically a repost, I've since found many even more highly discounted rugs. Since free shipping ends today (and in most cases the shipping cost is equal to or many times more than the sale price of the rug), I felt it would be more helpful to update with more info instead of simply replying to the OP where it would get lost in the shuffle.
Sorry I don't have time to include all the links, but here are a few standouts:
This Angie Area Rug size 9'6" x 13'2" was $899, now $39 (shipping alone is normally $156!) Pattern and colors might not be for everyone but hey, at this price I can make an exception.
This Felicity II Area Rug size 9'10" x 12'9" was $1099, now $79!
Easiest way I found to sort through to find the best deals was to go to Home Decorators Collection/rugs ,select shape (rectangular rugs seemed to have the best deals), select size, then simply sort by Price: Low to High.
Other styles with select sizes discounted were Angelica, Antique, Aquatic (as anticlawson mentioned), Botanical, Fes, Gardenview, and Marie. May be more styles, but these were the ones I found. A few such as Aquatic are indoor/outdoor or high traffic area rugs.
