microGreen oil filters are a conventional canister oil filter, except that they have a integrated bypass filter that sends a small portion of the circulating oil through a much finer media. (You couldn't design the whole filter with this media because you wouldn't get the needed flow rate.) External bypass kits are common on performance cars and Diesel vehicles. microGreen filters provide a great way to get the benefits of bypass filtration without having to install a kit.
