I shopped on line & in several stores for a while, not finding what I was after and just took a stab at this one [I learned it was a La Crosse after opening package]
Easy to read, easy to set-up: in the end, I like it.
Atomic time set right away.
Nice looking "cherry" frame.
It takes 3-4 weeks to "learn" the forecast. [what Acurite calls "Patented Self-Calibrating Forecasting"]
clock is 11" X 8.5
digits size: time 2" , temperatures 1.5
alarm with snooze, and most of the usual features I was expecting [C/F, 12/24h]
uses 2 + 2 AA batteries
No back light, no humidity sensor, and it does not keep track of low & high but arrows show "temperatures trend" [for inside & outside temperatures - in last 3 hours]
So, again: I like its simplicity of set-up and of look.
Will make a nice gift for older people. [I tried it on a 94 year old: she liked it a lot]
